Last hours of holiday indulgence before heading towards Qatar 🇶🇦
These last few days in Hanoi have been magical, we went back to our favourite places and indulge ourselves with our favourite food and fun bia hoi’s. We discovered new areas and saw a different side of this bustling city.
Back in Hanoi, it was impossible not to have Bun cha for breakfast today. Barbecue pork is my new way of doing breakfast!
Last night we learned how to cook three Vietnamese dishes at Thái Mà’s home. Lovely evening at her rooftop overlooking Hanoi! We had quite a feast :)
Breakfast can’t ever be the same after having Bánh cuốn today at Bánh Cuốn Gia Truyền Thanh Vân in Hanoi, it was delicious!
Last night we had some nice sugary fruit bowls with condense milk and coconut milk, mine just had mango and Anna’s had mixed fruit. They were absolutely delicious!
Lovely dinner tonight on a total casual walk around the edges of our apartment, you really can’t go wrong with Vietnamese food.
I had the tastiest of Indonesian food at happyhappyjoyjoy, totally recommended if you want to have a nice casual dinner in Amsterdam :-)
Anna, my partner, made this lovely blueberry pancakes for my birthday they were absolutely delicious 😋
Having a lovely lunch on our day off back at home in London 🏡. It’s had to tell if we’re looking at the canal or some grass, but it is indeed water!
I can’t emphasise more how good Bao really was.
This weekend we went away for Anna’s birthday to one of our favourite restaurants, Angela’s of Margate. As usual the food was outstanding, they always make us feel so welcome there.
I don’t think I’ve seen such a relaxing video of a sandwich making like this one. I’ve found this video randomly on someone’s personal site and just made me think about the internet being this weird beautiful random place.
Today we’ve picked massive courgettes, broad beans and peas, lettuce, spinach, radicchio and lovely raspberries. Looking forward for the tomatoes to be ready.
Picking tasty blackcurrants in the allotment, hoping to make them into nice compote to have with yogurts in the morning. Any other ideas?
Nice treat this morning. Made hash browns with fried eggs before going on a work trip to the Netherlands. It’s Anna’s favourite and it was so nice to just had breakfast together before heading off to work 🎉
Yesterday we had a terrific lunch at 40 Maltby Street in London, totally recommended if you’re looking for a restaurant to have a casual meal that has fresh and seasonal ingredients and also good natural wines!
Took months to get hold of our new subscription of Bon Appétit in the UK 🇬🇧 but it’s finally here! Hurray!
